December 9th, 2005 - Eddie C's
Hot Rock Lounge - Gainesville, FL:
When the band arrived, the sign said "Dreadnot" on it. Their
first show and all ready the band was on the marquee. They
didn't inform Eddie C's that the band's name had changed. Since it
was the first show with the new line-up, while on stage, Tim proclaimed
that to the crowd, "We used to be Dreadnot. But tonight we're
officially changing our name to "The Sevilles!" For the first
show, it was great. Everyone in the band was still learning how to
play with one another. Attempted a spoken word intro for "Garbage"
to set it up as a love song, then break it the punk-ish song it is.
Didn't work quite right, but that didn't mean it wouldn't be attempted
again, in one form or another. Being so close to Christmas, the band
closed the set with a rocking version of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen."

February 3rd, 2006 - Eddie
C's Hot Rock Lounge - Gainesville, FL:
Starting with the most important news, Chris broke out the "Kramer"
Guitar. His baby. The Sevilles would never be the same
again. However, this show was a rare instance of poor booking by
Eddie C's. Not that the bands were not complimentary, or that they
didn't play well together. Everyone played great, and their sounds
bounced off each other's wonderfully. But it was The Treatment's
last show. And everyone came to see their final performance.
And they should have played last. But they played in the middle,
and when the Sevilles went up, there were a lot of people were still
milling around but of course they wanted to hang out with and talk to
The Treatment. And maybe being that this was The Sevilles' second
show ever, maybe they deserved to play background music for The
Treatment's After Party. The energy suffered because of it, but
The Sevilles still played a great show musically and after sleeping off
the demons, everyone agreed that it actually was a pretty good show.
Also the first appearance of "Bobby Fischer," after which Tim declared,
"Not bad for a song we wrote yesterday!" which actually was not very far
from the truth.

1982 - Gainesville, FL:
This was the band's first show outside the walls of Eddie C's.
Club 1982 had just opened and didn't even have all of their sound
equipment up yet. So needless to say, it didn't sound as good as
maybe it could have, but the bar did GREAT with what they had and the
band had a fun time too. Covered Billy Joel's, "You May Be Right."

May 26th, 2006 - Eddie C's Hot
Rock Lounge - Gainesville, FL:
"We're the Sevilles! We're locked and cocked and ready to rock!!"
Shouted Tim as Chris dove into a mean pick slide to start "Bobby
Fischer," which had finally finished coming together and sounded great!
This show is the first look the crowd got at Tim's "Flying V" Epiphone
Guitar. Also, the first time The Sevilles tried a slow-mo intro for
"Garbage" (also the last time.) The band had taken some time off
from shows to record their first album at Skylab Studios, in
Gainesville. It was during this recording time that the band first
performed "Go!" and when the songs were put on the first preliminary CD,
it was in alphabetical order, so "Garbage" (which ended with an
impromptu whammy bar octave drop by Chris) was directly before "Go!"
Tim liked the way it sounded so much that he wanted to fuse the songs
together during a show with that octave drop plus some feedback to throw
the crowd off in between. It's worth mentioning that Chris had
absolutely NO feedback through his amp at this show (not his fault) but
it still worked ok. But it would get better and the band would use
the technique for many many shows to come. Eventually, the band
would even get tired of always putting the two songs together but
would still include the feedback and octave drop after "Garbage" to
directly lead into whatever they wanted to play after. But "Go!" wasn't
the only new song at this show. "Little Miss Priss," the only song
the Sevilles wrote in the studio for the new album, also made it into
this show as a closer, but before long it would start opening shows.
Still a little shaky in the background vocals, the band decided to move
it up so that everyone would still have the air required to sing it.
This show was also a bit on the "tentative" side for Shaun, who was in
the hospital with his wife 3 days earlier having a baby and only arrived
home about 24 hours before the show. But despite everything the
show went on without a hitch, and The Sevilles had never sounded better.

June 29th, 2006 - Eddie C's
Hot Rock Lounge - Gainesville, FL:
As the third band to take the stage, The Sevilles played to a nearly
empty house. But this show was punctuated by a awesome performance
by Chris. After the first few songs were performed in a sterile,
plain and boring manner, the band finally got the idea in their
collective head that show could still be fun, if played just for the
sake of playing, like a practice. Of course, this was encourage by
Chris's rockin solos and leads. Never had the band experienced
such a "second wind" come back after the first 3 or 4 songs to come back
to such a phenomenal finish.

Party @ Marion Street Cafe - Lake City, FL:
The long wait was over. The CD's had taken literally forever
and everyone was ready for them to be OUT. The band planned on
playing at Marion Street Cafe on that Saturday anyway, but now that the
CD's were coming out the same day, the stage was set for a rocking CD
Release party. 15 pizzas were ordered to be eaten by everyone and
the band came early to set up. After set-up, it was time to relax,
eat pizza, drink beer, and party with the fans. An opening
acoustic set by Solace started things off and then the Sevilles rocked
the house. This was the first time that the Sevilles Opened a set
with a ripping guitar solo by Chris, a trend that would continue for
quite some time. Afterward, everyone got free CD's, almost
everyone got free shirts, and one lucky fan even got a guitar signed by
everyone in the band. A great party, a great show, and a TON of
autographs later, the CD was finally out, and the revolution began.
With the CDs finally released, the Sevilles could focus on improving
stage presence and increase fan base. First public performance of
"Let's Go," which ended The Sevilles' long search for a cover that they
could own.

September 9th, 2006 -
Backstage Lounge - Gainesville, FL:
Being back at Eddie C's for the first time months was exciting for
the band, even if the venue had changed it's name to "Backstage Lounge."
It was still good to be back under the lights (and sound) that they had
come to miss. This was the first show that started with "Little
Miss Priss;" a trend that would also continue for a long time. It
was at this show that the band met "The Pull Out," another local
Gainesville band that enjoyed playing with so much that they would go on
to play several more shows with. The Sevilles were supposed to play
second, but the first band scheduled to perform (Truly Sunday) didn't
show up, so The Sevilles ended up opening the set, which they preferred
anyway. Also, the first show with Shaun wearing his headset mic.
Show also highlighted by Chris playing part of the "Mary Jane" solo
behind his head.

September 30th, 2006 - Marion
Street Cafe - Lake City, FL:
The show was opened by some band from Naples. Then the Sevilles
went on. Nearly everyone in the crowd had on a Sevilles shirt.
The show suffered because everyone's attitude was affected by the first
band and their rudeness. But it went on regardless, and in the end
it was probably one of the least energetic shows The Sevilles ever
performed.

October 6th, 2006 - Club 1982 -
Gainesville, FL:
What a fun show! The band was supposed to practice one
of the new songs, but made it to Tim's late. Instead, they headed up to
1982, unpacked some stuff, repacked the rest into Chris's car and the
front of Tim's truck and headed to Farrah's, intending to make it back
to the gig before the first band finished, but they went on early and
played a short set, so the band missed them. They felt poorly about it.
The second band was pretty fun to watch, lots of audience participation.
then the next group went on, a piano trio, everyone in the band thought
they were good. They covered Billy Joel's "My Life" and "Piano Man,"
making it the second time in a row that the band went to 1982 and
either played or heard a Billy Joel song. Next was the Sevilles, and the
audience actually started moving a little, very fun for the band to see.
Perfect length set, they got off the stage just before it went into "too longsville". Last band was after
the Sevilles, Odd Man Out, and they were good
too.

After the equipment mishap at Frankenfest, Shaun had to borrow a
Hi-Hat clutch from "Odd Man Out," who happily provided one. But
during the practice before, there was no one around to loan one, so
Shaun had to experiment with the drum set-up and found out that he liked
playing better when the kit was more open with the snare and hi-hat
switched. It changed the energy dramatically. It was the
first Backstage Lounge show that Tim tried to use the new "Bullet Mic"
at and there was an issue with Rick turning it on, so no one heard the
first line of Little Miss Priss. But after that, there was no
turning back. There was a fairly large crowd at this show,
including a potential manager for The Sevilles, and they played their
hearts out. First good performance of the "new wave" of Sevilles
songs, including "I Don't Believe You," "Dog on the Loose" and "8-Ball."
Clearly the best show to that point, both musically and energetically.
First time the band played "Do Without" with drum intro.

December 7th, 2006 - Backstage
Lounge - Gainesville, FL:
This show started with another rockin Chris solo, right into Little
Miss Priss and the desired effect from the bullet mic had finally been
achieved. Almost a year to the date after their first show
together, The Sevilles looked like a completely different band.
The personnel and instrumentation hadn't changed a bit, but watching
this band compared to the band from a year ago was like watching a
cheetah next to a snail. Their energy was now almost overpowering.
A pretty smooth set was turning out to be a nice anniversary show, but
with 3 songs left, the booth called down "One More!" even though the
band had only played for 30 minutes and was supposed to have a 45 minute
set. But they played 2 more anyway, skipping only "Go!" which
marked the first time since being written that the song was not played
at a show.

The Sevilles brought in the New Year by rocking a set at Backstage
Lounge at FULL THROTTLE. After seeing more and more people at
every show, the Sevilles began throwing more and more energy into every
set. And this was no exception. From the first notes of
Chris's solo to the final of 8-Ball, there was no containing the
unbridled power of a band on fire. Also referred to by Jake and
Shaun as the "show of the missing beer." Tim was forced to change
guitars after "Let's Go" because of a broken string.

Backstage Lounge - Gainesville, FL:
Presented by
UDTV, this show
started off with all four bands doing TV interviews, including the
Sevilles. After waiting around a short time, The Sevilles opened
the gig with a cigarette in Tim and Chris's mouths, a first for both (on
stage). After a slamming solo by Chris, the boys started into
Little Miss Priss and a few people started coming toward the stage.
With every passing song, more and more people started assembling at the
front of the stage and by the middle of the set they were wall to wall.
It was a pretty good set, and some of the videos even made it onto
YouTube, another first
for The Sevilles.
